Preconstruction Services
For Hurley Construction, Preconstruction is a collaborative effort to establish a road map to achieve your design and vision. It is our collective opportunity to analyze options and alternatives, refine our master schedule, build partnerships, and develop realistic pricing that remains fixed through construction. Each project has many paths – you tell us where you want to go, and we’ll figure out the best way to get you there.
Hurley prides itself on providing you with realizations for significant cost savings through accurate cost analysis, innovative and efficient construction plans, and enhanced schedule control. An internal Peer Review Team of seasoned construction professionals provide additional constructability advice before the design develops into a workable construction plan.

Constructibility Review
The Constructability Review is a vital link from taking the Design into a stable place to Build. When this stage is not properly stewarded, it will often lead to redesign and rework that costs the owner in time and money.
Hurley Construction sees this review as a vital piece in our foundation for a healthy and successful build. Commonly, general contractors will set up standard procedures and pass the CR to the Project Engineers, but at Hurley Construction, we believe that experience is crucial for CR’s to be done properly. Therefore, we assign a team lead by veteran leader to perform this review. Along with the expertise of our leaders, we follow the Whole Building Design Guide, which is a program of the National Institute of Building Science.

Planning Management
Hurley Construction employs planning management practices highlighted below to create and improve predictability in the workflow on our projects. The outcome results in people working together through a series of planning conversations that design and recognize commitments required to identify work needed to achieve milestones, and ensure that assignments are complete.

Safety & Staging
Think Tomorrow, Safe Today embodies Hurley Construction safety program. Every day on our jobsites, safety is the highest priority. We expect that every person who steps foot on a jobsite to act in a way that “Thinks about Tomorrow”, no matter if they are a subcontractor, consultant, architect, or an owner. If everyone “thinks about tomorrow”; about having dinner with their family, a vacation that they might be taking, or weekend relaxing by the river, they will make sure that they will be “safe today”.
It is our policy to maintain a healthful environment and safe working conditions for all employees, to provide quality safety training, to require compliance with important safety rules and to promote a genuine interest in safety among all personnel. We will comply with applicable safety and health laws, codes and standards, and expect employees at all levels of the organization to cooperate with this effort for their own benefit as well as for the safety of others.

Project Quality Assurance
Our quality assurance program advances a strong spirit of team collaboration and effort beginning early in the design process. We will constantly and consistently monitor each team’s work to ensure programming requirements are met, the project can be built within the budget and that all goals unique to this project are achieved. These team relationships provide continuity of management and added value to ensure that the quality of the design is constructed in the field.
